MLB debuts mobile-app revisions for new baseball season

Major League Baseball's MLB Advanced Media has revised its At Bat, At The Ballpark and Beat The Streak Presented by Dunkin' Donuts mobile applications. The apps add video and push-notification options, among other improvements. A contest for a $5.6 million grand prize is running via the Beat the Streak app, with fans guessing which players will get hits. "[S]ports teams are high brand-consumer relationships that must be a part of the changing access point that engage users," SiteMinis' Steve Timpson says.
