Holograms offering a wide field of view and sharp imaging may be forthcoming for use as bio-sensors with the novel application of carbon nanotubes, say researchers at Cambridge University's Department of Engineering. The nanotubes' size, thinner than a visible wavelength of light, makes possible smaller pixels, crucial for sharper holographic imaging.
