New U.K. financial watchdog wants bank capital needs made public

The man who is about to become one of Britain's most powerful financial watchdogs wants more transparency brought into the issue of banks' capital requirements. Andrew Bailey, who will soon become the head of the U.K. Prudential Regulation Authority, said public disclosure of banks' individual capital requirements should be made mandatory.
