NYC upgrades career education for the 21st century

Technology visionaries, including venture capitalist Fred Wilson, who was an early investor in popular social media websites Twitter and Tumblr, now is backing investments in another form of career and technical education in New York City. The city has launched a new focus on science, technology, engineering and math -- creating STEM programs in dozens of schools. Part of the focus is in helping students land jobs in technology fields by leveraging resources and helping students visit offices of Facebook, Twitter and Google.
