Program aims to narrow the gender gap in IT

A program called Girls Who Code focuses on getting more women into technology fields to narrow the gender gap in IT. "We actively recruit women, but there's just not that many women who want to do this kind of work and are equipped to do the work from their education," said Twitter's Adam Messinger, a board member for Girls Who Code. The quest, according to the group, is to get young girls interested in IT before they begin thinking about career paths.
