Proposed coal export terminals in Pacific Northwest clear hurdles

A pair of proposed coal export terminals in the Pacific Northwest moved closer to reality after the projects passed regulatory obstacles, according to the Washington State Department of Ecology. BNSF and Union Pacific will provide service for the planned Millennium Bulk Terminal in Longview, Wash., while BNSF will exclusively serve the proposed Gateway Pacific Terminal near Bellingham, Wash.
