Skin and cartilage grafts correct deep nasal alar defects

Deep defects on the nasal ala following Mohs surgery were successfully repaired using in a 20-patient study reported in JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery. The one-step procedure was useful for defects that needed support to prevent the collapse or pulling back of the ala. Full-thickness skin and auricular cartilage grafts were used.
