USPSTF: Counsel patients before testing for BRCA mutations

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has released new guidelines urging providers to screen patients with a family history of cancer for likely BRCA mutations. Counseling about risks should take place prior to genetic testing, the task force recommended.
