Verallia pushes lawmakers for bottle-deposit bill

Verallia North America lobbied Indiana lawmakers Monday to move forward with a law that would require a refundable deposit of up to 10 cents on beverages sold in bottles and cans. The law would aim to reduce litter, as well as provide more cullet for the bottle and jar manufacturer, which is "hungry" for the material, according to vice president Stephen Segebarth.
