Wound care center helps cancer patient heal

A 59-year-old man was successfully treated at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center in California after radiation for tonsil cancer left him with a damaged jawbone and deteriorating teeth. The man underwent 25 hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions to reduce his risk for infection before having the teeth extracted and replaced, and will continue to receive therapy after his dental work is complete.
