Investors' concerns over Fed moves might hinder TALF

The Federal Reserve's Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility might struggle to increase its commitments as investors balk at conditions set by the government, including visa restrictions for employees and potential moves to tax earnings. "I can do very well for my clients without venturing into federal waters, which are inhabited by sharks," said David Kotok, chairman of Cumberland Advisors. "We are leery of doing anything with the federal government."
