Black infants have higher risk of sleep-related deaths

Illinois researchers reported black infants in Cook County were 12 times more likely to die of sleep-related causes than white infants. Study data showed about 8% of infants were found in safe sleep circumstances, while 57% of infant deaths occurred while the baby shared a bed with an adult.
