GE to provide turbines to 9 wind projects in Canadian province

General Electric will supply turbines with a combined capacity of 650 megawatts to nine new wind projects in Ontario. The orders will boost GE's installed wind capacity in the Canadian province to 1.2 gigawatts by 2015. "Ontario is a very hot wind market for GE right now," said Simon Olivier, GE's general manager of renewable energy sales in Canada.
