Apache exec touts natural gas as fuel for drilling operations

An Apache executive promoted the benefits of using natural gas as a fuel in drilling activities. Approximately $125,000 per well is saved when gas is used in drilling, said Mike Bahorich, Apache's chief technology officer. The company is also starting to use liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas in hydraulic fracturing jobs, he added.
