CMS pays out almost $12.7B in EHR incentives through February

Almost $12.7 billion in EHR incentives was given to 234,065 Medicare and Medicaid providers from the start of the meaningful use program through February, the CMS said. The agency added that 3,781 of the 5,011 eligible hospitals were paid from either the Medicaid or Medicare portions of the initiative, and some were paid from both.
