Court rejects Gulf spill-related claims against Cameron

Remaining 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill-related claims against BP contractor Cameron International were dismissed by U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier on Wednesday. The only role that Cameron had in the incident was manufacturing and selling the Deepwater Horizon rig's blowout preventer, Barbier said. "Frankly, I've heard no evidence during this trial or seen no evidence to support a finding of negligence against Cameron that could have in any way caused or contributed to the accident," the judge said.
