Dominion to expand Md. facility with $3.4B LNG plant

Dominion Resources has applied for permission to build a new liquified natural gas plant as an expansion of its Cove Point plant on the Chesapeake Bay in Lusby, Md. The new plant, which would cost between $3.4 billion and $3.8 billion, would create an estimated 4,000 construction jobs. Dominion plans to break ground on the project next year, pending approval of its application.
