Exec: Chevron still far from benefiting from Europe shale activities

Chevron may need 10 years at least before it benefits from its shale natural gas development projects in Europe, a company executive said. "Chevron has focused on Eastern Europe for shale gas as we wanted a position across the geological trend that covers Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania and Bulgaria," said Ian MacDonald, a regional vice president at Chevron. "Exploration wells are under way but there is no fracking yet."
