Flurry: Users spend over 2 hours daily in mobile apps

American mobile users spend about 80% of their iOS and Android smartphone and tablet time -- more than two hours a day on average -- within applications and not browsing the Web, according to a Flurry report. Games are responsible for almost a third of that time and Facebook accounts for 18% of people's time, with users averaging 39 minutes a day within the app. Though analysts speculated HTML5 might push out native apps, "Turns out, it's an app world, after all," John Koetsier writes.
