HIT committee to examine stage 3 MU proposals

The HIT Policy Committee is set to meet today to discuss a proposal to consolidate the stage 3 meaningful use criteria by reducing the MU goals from 43 to 25. The panel also will consider the idea of "deeming," in which eligible hospitals that the ONC deems to be high performers would be allowed to meet a subset of measures to qualify for stage 3 MU incentives.
