How have school lunches changed since Let's Move! launched?

Since the launch of first lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative, school nutrition professionals in Washoe County, Nev., have worked to make the school-meal program more "cost-efficient and beneficial for the kids," said Tony Cook, director of nutrition services. That includes a commitment to serving healthier food, with a focus on whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Already, officials have seen a decrease in the percentage of students in the district who are overweight or obese.
