Maine town residents have mixed reactions to DCP's tank withdrawal

While opponents of DCP Midstream's proposed LPG storage tank in Searsport, Maine, celebrate the company's withdrawal of its plan to build the tank, some residents expressed their disappointment. Faith Garrold, a longtime Searsport resident, said she was "very disappointed" with how things turned out. "We know many young people that are working out of the state because construction in Maine has been down. And we train people for jobs that just aren't here, and they aren't going to be here if Maine keeps treating businesses the way DCP was treated in Searsport," Garrold said.
