Mobile is gradually displacing PCs as a primary source of consumer searches, giving publishers and search companies an opportunity to help advertisers manage their mobile local listing presences. That process is complex, but the potential for winning advertisers is great, as "business participation in search is the ultimate in effective crowd-sourcing," writes Damian Rollison, vice president of product and technology at Universal Business Listing.
