NICE rebrands, appoints new chairman

The U.K.'s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence has changed its name to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to reflect its expanded role in social care. Concurrently, the agency has appointed David Haslam to serve as its new chairman, succeeding Michael Rawlins.
