N.J. adds more student-performance data to school report cards

State education officials on Wednesday updated members of the New Jersey Board of Education about state report cards set to be released to the public in the next few weeks. The reports, released annually, now will include more specific data on student performance -- such as PSAT scores -- as well as information on Algebra I and Advanced Placement participation, student absenteeism and other factors. Drafts of the new reports were released to district superintendents last month with some changes subsequently made to address concerns about the accuracy of the data.
