Weather Channel looks to make its programming more predictable

The Weather Channel, in its first formal upfront, introduced a slate of six new TV series and three shows just for its website. The network has been building its schedule of original programming over the past few years to increase its appeal to marketers seeking a regular schedule. Also, The Weather Company, the network's parent, is teaming up with Twitter to tailor tweets to weather-related events.
