$1.6B mixed-use project in San Francisco could create 9,000 jobs

Plans for a $1.6 billion project in San Francisco will be unveiled today. The mixed-use project, which would include rental units, retail space, and about 1.7 million square feet of office space, would create about 9,000 construction jobs over seven years. Work could begin in 2015, after two years of environmental review.
