Campaign aims to limit unnecessary procedures

A coalition of medical societies including ASNC aims to improve clinical decision-making with its Choosing Wisely campaign. The American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation sponsored the effort, which amassed a list of 45 tests and therapies that "should be questioned" because they are often unnecessary or may even cause harm. A variety of tests were addressed in the effort, including imaging procedures.
