Devon Energy to set aside $6.5 billion for E&P projects this year

Devon Energy intends to spend about $6.5 billion this year on exploration and production projects. The company set aside $350 million for the Cline Shale in Texas and another $500 million for an undisclosed oilfield, said John Richels, president and CEO of Devon Energy. "We're very excited about the Cline," said Andy Coolidge, the company's vice president for the Permian Basin.
