Phony veterinarian allegedly kept hospital open illegally

After licensed veterinarians left the C&D Animal Hospital in Akron, Ohio, 35-year-old Brandi Tomko kept the hospital open and posed as a veterinarian, allegedly drawing blood and even performing surgery on unsuspecting owners' pets, authorities said. At least two animals died as a result. Tomko was arrested after suspicious owners reported her.
