Bitcoin exchange cites DDoS attacks

Mt. Gox, a Tokyo-based exchange for the bitcoin virtual currency, says it is experiencing distributed-denial-of-service attacks that are disrupting trading on its website. The company says the cyberattacks are an attempt to manipulate the price of bitcoins, which touched a high of $142 per coin in online trading Wednesday.
