Ooomf transforms into a freelance developer marketplace

Ooomf is closing its application-discovery platform to focus on a new business of connecting freelance "developers, designers and copywriters with Web and mobile projects," Sarah Perez writes. The company considers its new direction related to the old. "A huge portion of app discoverability and having a successful mobile app, ultimately lies in building a quality product. No amount of marketing can save a poorly constructed app," founder Mikael Cho says.
