Put Pelosi back in the speaker's chair, Obama tells Democrats

It would be "a whole lot easier to govern" if Nancy Pelosi were still speaker of the House, President Barack Obama said Wednesday at a star-studded Democratic fundraising event in San Francisco. Obama said he was hopeful that the House GOP would grow less partisan over time, but that realistically it remains vital for Democrats to prioritize retaking control of the House. "My job is to make sure we move the country forward, and I think we can best do that if Nancy Pelosi is speaker of the House once again," he said.
