Report: Banks' Big Data use slightly lags that of insurers

Insurers are slightly more advanced than banks in using Big Data, according to a Celent report. "Insurers interviewed generally didn't identify with the 'big' in Big Data, citing that volume was not their challenge. But Big Data technologies are enabling them to address variety and velocity issues," says Celent's Craig Beattie.
