Samsung, Mozilla build new engine for mobile Web browsing

Samsung Electronics is working with the Mozilla Foundation, the group behind the Firefox browser, on a new browser engine for Android-based cellphones based on the ARM architecture that Mozilla is calling "Servo. Servo is an attempt to rebuild the Web browser from the ground up on modern hardware, rethinking old assumptions along the way," Chief Technology Officer Brendan Eich wrote in a blog post.
