Wis. biomass facility is set to come online late in the year

The 50-megawatt biomass power plant at the Domtar paper mill in Rothschild, Wis., is scheduled to begin supplying steam and electricity late this year. Some 500,000 tons of wood debris will be needed to run the plant, which will "open up potential new markets for people who want to get into the wood waste business," said Jeff Plunkett, Domtar's fiber procurement manager
