Lyme disease cases in Maine are on the rise

The Maine Center of Disease Control said 50 Lyme disease cases were reported in the state from January to February this year, up from the five-year average of 15 cases. Health officials attribute this increase to the warm winter weather during the past few months, which could lead to a growth in ticks in the summer.
