Sharp, Motorola are developing 3-D mobile technology

Sharp said it will begin producing 3-D displays for small devices such as cell phones and other consumer-electronics products that will not require users to wear the special glasses needed in 3-D movie theaters. In a related development, Motorola disclosed in a patent filing that it, too, is working on 3-D technology -- a 3-D flip phone that could display images while the device is shut.
