Unemployment rate could increase as U.S. workers return to job hunt

Despite the creation of jobs as the economy recovers, Americans should not count on any major improvement to unemployment statistics, the Obama administration said. As unemployed workers become more optimistic and resume their job search, the unemployment rate could actually increase, economists said. While 162,000 jobs were created in March, the number of people looking increased by more than 200,000 compared with February.
