Study finds possible link between NSAID use and lower melanoma risk

Taking a weekly aspirin may provide some protection against melanoma, according to a small study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Other nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and naproxen may give similar protection. However, the study was not a controlled trial, and other studies have found no evidence that NSAIDs protect against melanoma.
