Apple's ring-shaped Calif. HQ to be a $5B net-zero campus

Apple wants its new headquarters to become a net-zero campus. The ring-shaped building's roof will be covered with 700,000 square feet of solar panels that will provide 8 megawatts of power. About 6,000 trees will be planted on the campus. The cost of the project has risen from nearly $3 billion to roughly $5 billion, according to some sources. A joint venture of DPR Construction and Skanska USA Building has been named general contractor for the project.
