CFTC slows down speed of rule making

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has decelerated rule making, despite swaps-execution facilities' need for final guidance on how to proceed. The CFTC was expected to vote this week on SEF rules, but Chairman Gary Gensler reportedly has postponed the meeting until May. The commission remains divided on how best to regulate SEFs, sources say.
