Columnist: Democrats are winning the culture wars

The Republican Party has been caught off guard by how fast Democrats have gained the political advantage on cultural issues such as LGBT rights, Ronald Brownstein writes. Democrats, used to pivoting away from such hot button issues, are now "moving with uncommon confidence," causing some Republicans to dispense with hard-line positions such as a Constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriages nationwide.
