Fla. county's 5-year effort to reduce infant mortality pays off

Health care, government and social services organizations in Leon County, Fla., worked for five years to reduce infant mortality, finally getting it to a near all-time low. Experts cannot point to one specific intervention but say the lower rates probably are due to a combination of efforts including better patient education and health care access.
