Creating a successful business requires a massive time commitment, but it's still possible to maintain some balance in your personal life, writes Gary Whitehill, entrepreneur-in-residence at Startup Weekend. It's important to set aside time to spend with your family and to simplify your social life, he writes. "Hurrying from happy-hour with coworkers to dinner with family to coffee with an old friend actually augments the stress accumulated during the workday," he cautions. "The simpler your social life, the more likely you are to actually enjoy your downtime and relax."
