Parks Associates reports that 45% of Internet-connected television owners it surveyed are using applications to play games and 43% use apps to watch video. The firm also found that 79% of smart-TV owners are regular users of apps. "Apps will alter the TV viewing experience by opening new avenues to discover content and also serve as a means for content owners to push premium content to households," said Heather Way of Parks Associates.
