Over-50s are a major market for beauty products, researcher says

Since boomer women began turning 50, the over-50 crowd has jumped from 31% of the beauty-products market to 44%, writes AARP Media Sales' Mark Bradbury, citing Gfk MRI. Weekly usage in the higher age brackets also matches up with the 18-to-49 demographic, indicating that beauty-product marketers who ignore boomers and seniors are missing a big opportunity.
