Poll: Most Ohioans are concerned about proposed oil, gas taxes

A proposal by Ohio Gov. John Kasich to boost certain oil and natural gas production taxes would stunt economic growth and affect energy development, 69% of Ohio voters said in an American Petroleum Institute-commissioned poll. "This survey tells us Ohioans are leery of anything that hinders the promise of high paying jobs and a better quality of life associated with shale energy development," said Chris Zeigler, executive director of the Ohio Petroleum Council.
