Rutgers basketball coach fired after video surfaces of abuse, epithets

A New Jersey LGBT rights group is calling for more action from Rutgers University officials after the school this week fired basketball coach Mike Rice, who was videotaped engaging in abusive behavior toward players that included the use of anti-gay epithets. "That's not good enough," said Troy Stevenson, executive director of Garden State Equality, which is pushing for an investigation as to why school officials didn't act sooner.
