S.C. MOX project contractor is concerned about U.S. budget cuts

Shaw Areva MOX Services expressed concern about the impact of potential budget cuts to the mixed-oxide fuel plant it is developing at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. Such cuts could lead to job losses and a temporary delay in construction, said Kelly Trice, the consortium's president. "In the short term, we could deal with it, but if it's longer term, like multiple years, it's harder to predict," he said.
